Electrician (Traveling)

TRAVELING ELECTRICIAN who has a diverse background of fixed/rotary-wingDetails: Pay:$26.00 to $32.00 per hour (depending on years of experience)$700.00 perdiem split!  ($17.00 per hour tax-free)This is a long-term/temp-to-hire contract!  We are looking for serious long-term applicants only. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Integrate wires/harnesses into aircraft.Troubleshoot systems as required to meet customer needsFollow drawings/blueprints/instructions/Modification WorkOrders/Technical Manuals.Assist Aircraft General Mechanics with scheduledmaintenance.Terminate connectors, to include coaxial cables.Clamp harnesses.Conduct Maintenance Operational Checks and AcceptanceTest Procedures.Troubleshoot faulty systems.Utilize test sets, multimeters, DMC crimp tools, wirestrippers, heat guns, etc.Perform soldering as requiredPerform regular Foreign Object Damage (FOD) walks.Perform continuity and power checks.Operate Ground Support Equipment (Power Cart, Tug,Forklift, etc.).Provide own tools with the exception of specialty tools.Remove, inspect, repair, and reinstall aircraftparts/systems.Annotate log book and work book entries IAW DA PAM738-751 or other contractual guidance.Maintain a high state of cleanliness and utilize aclean-as-you-go process when executing maintenance duties. Perform rotatingbreak room cleaning duties.Comply with processes and procedures as perDHS/Department of Defense (DOD) documents and publications.Comply with safety rules and regulations while performingday to day maintenance. Promptly report all accidents, injuries, safety,violations, and/or unsafe practices or procedures to supervisor.Other duties as assigned.

Requirments: Army Aviation background highly preferred.  Experience using ULLS-A (E) or equivalent systems is a plus for this role but not required or a disqualifier.  ULLS-A (E) is a computerized system that automates the manual supply and maintenance forms and other unit level tasks that were accomplished in a manual mode. Candidates with UH-60 and AH-64 training/experience - this is the area of current need.  Additional experience with the other platforms are a plus.Active Secret or current Interim Secret clearance required.Must have an active passport. Ability and willingness to travel highly is mandatory (30-40%) #8211; You will be going to various bases across the United States to perform aircraft maintenance for 2-3 weeks at a time.  Although flights will be sourced for you, you must have a credit card and financial resources to pay for hotels/rental cars until expenses are reimbursed in the pay period after your trip.
