HH-60G FCF Pilot (USAF)

#8226; Functional Check Flights (FCF). Performs Functional Check Flights (FCF) as required after certain repairs have been completed to ensure the aircraft is airworthy and mission capable in accordance with AFTO 1H-60(H) G-6CF-1 and TO 1H-60(H) G-6CL-1 including ground runs which may or may not culminate with actual flight.• Maintenance Test Flights (MTF)/Operational Check Flights (OCF). In addition to FCFs, various components require in-flight operational checks after repair or replacement. While flight tests are often performed on operational line aircraft by available flight crews, company pilot may be required to assist or perform maintenance flights as required. These maintenance flights are necessary to ensure the required component is working properly and in unison with other systems and are performed in accordance with AFTO 1H-60(H) G-6CF-1 and TO 1H-60(H) G-6CL-1• Acceptance Test Profiles (ATPs). Similar to FCFs, ATPs are governed by AFTO 1H-60(H) G-6CF-1 and TO 1H-60(H) G-6CL-1. While FCF is checking one or a few components on the aircraft, ATPs are checking every component on the aircraft prior to releasing the helicopter from depot• Instructional Training. The M1 pilot assists in performing instruction/training duties to support USAF personnel. Instructional/training includes, but is not limited to: Basic aircraft flight currency, ground instruction, and basic functional check flight qualification training• Maintain currency and proficiency on tasks/maneuvers required by applicable Air Force instructions, the HH-60G Aircrew Flight Manual (-1), and other related publications.• Maintain thorough knowledge of aircraft systems, emergency procedures, operating limitations and restrictions, regulations, publications and established procedures. • Perform thorough preflight planning which includes, but is not limited to, filing flight plans/logs, and computing and evaluating aircraft performance data, weather information, notices to airman (NOTAMS), fuel requirements, and weight and balance data. • Review aircraft logbook and maintenance forms/records to determine the checks required for engine running ground checks, functional check flights (FCF), Operational Check Flights (OCF) or in-flight checks. Ensures maintenance on the aircraft has been properly performed and documented. • Briefs crew and passengers on specific mission, flight data, normal procedures, emergency procedures, and equipment requirements.• Perform preflight, in-flight, and post-flight procedures, operational checks, and maneuvers in accordance with operator#8217;s and/or FCF checklist and other applicable publications. • Perform maintenance ground and in-flight operational and functional checks to determine the airworthiness of aircraft through inspection, flight-testing, and evaluations of flight performance, engine operation, systems operation, and flight characteristics.• Briefs and demonstrates operational and emergency procedures to flight crews and non-crewmembers• Transports aircraft monitors, maintenance and quality personnel as necessary. • Performs recovery operations on aircraft that have made a precautionary or forced landing.• Performs cross country aircraft ferrying operations.• Assist in the ground handling of aircraft, including towing, brake riding, and mooring.• Assist as directed to ensure safety, security, and preservation of Government/Company owned equipment and supplies.• Work and communicate with internal and external clients and customers to meet their needs in a polite, courteous, and cooperative manner. Plays an active part in problem resolution and is committed to quality service.• Perform other related duties as required. • This position does not include an additional stipend for instructor pilot qualification.

? Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.? Rating in a HH-60G or other UH-60 Variant. Must be HH-60G qualified as indicated by successful completion of a formal USAF aircrew qualification training course or qualified by another agency of the US Department of Defense in any UH-60 variant.? Flight Instructor Qualification. Must be USAF instructor qualified or higher and shall maintain instructor status IAW AFI 10-220. Equivalent qualifications from other US military services are an acceptable substitute. US Army AMOC graduates are not required to be instructor qualified, but will retain instructor status if qualified.? USAF Functional Check Flight Certification. Must be USAF FCF certified in a HH-60G. Will accept graduate of US Army AMOC with previous qualification in any UH-60 variant.? Flight Hours. Per DCMA Inst 8210.1C section 4.3.3 aircrew shall at a minimum meet the following flight hours: 1,000 hours as Pilot-In-Command (PIC); 300 hours as PIC of an HH-60G or other UH-60 variant? Class II Flight Physical. Must maintain a current Class II FAA Flight Physical for the duration of the contract.? Must be familiar with flight line operations and safety requirements.? Must be able to work days, nights, and weekends as required.? Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. ? Must be able to follow written and oral instructions and have the ability to work with others to effect solutions to ordinary situations/problems.? Must be able to plan and prioritize work assignments with little or no supervision? Must have an active SECRET Security Clearance, or be willing and able to obtain a DoD Security ClearancePhysical Demands:?
