MI-17 Pilot

The successful applicant will conduct day and NVG training
to host nation rated crew members and contractor rated crew members to standard
IAW contract Performance Work Statement, DCMA 8210, applicable local
regulations and service guidance. Individual will also conduct counter
narcotics operations with mixed crews as required. Individual will be
responsible for assisting in the development of courseware,
products and procedures in support of assigned training and operational
missions. Individual will perform duties as a Pilot, Pilot-in-Command, Air
Mission Commander, Flight Lead, and Instructor Pilot in day and NVG. Individual
will also be required to perform other tasks as assigned by lead pilot and
company management.Individual will be required to travel, live and work inaustere and hostile conditions throughout assigned areas in Afghanistan. Will wear approximately 35 lbs. of body armor and aviation life support equipment during the performance of flying duties.

  • 1500 hours of PIC time in Rotary Wing turbine aircraft
  • Graduate of a US Military Rotary Wing course of instruction
  • NVG qualified with 1000 hours NVD
  • 4 year degree from accredited college or university
  • Valid US passport
  • Possess or ability to obtain and maintain a Department of
  • Defense (DoD) Secret Security Clearance as a condition of continued employment;
  • an active DoD Secret Security Clearance preferred 
  • US Citizen
  • Current FAA Class II Medical Certificate
  • Ability to work well with peers in stressful conditions and
  • close living quarters 
  • Individual must demonstrate proficiency in understanding
  • aircraft systems, components, and operations of the Mi-17 aircraft
  • Individual must possess a thorough knowledge of FAA and ICAO
  • regulations pertinent to the host country and operational requirement


  • 2500 hours total time Rotary Wing turbine
  • 1500 hours total NVD
  • Graduate of US military Instructor Pilot Course or MOI course
  • 1000 hours of Instructor Pilot time
  • Previous experience in the CENTCOM AOR instructing foreign student pilots or Rated Crew Members
  • Highly experienced in the training of Rotary wing pilots in base tasks, mission tasks, and air assault tactics or gunnery
  • Must be eligible for a federal government clearance
