Powertrain Trainer/Mechanics

Starting 1 January, 2018 Vinnell Arabia will have multiple A/C Powertrain Trainers/Mechanics available for the following platforms: AH-64, UH-60 and MD 500 series / AH-6. Performs duties as an Aircraft powertrain technician. Additionally, performs unit level maintenance on aircraft powertrain and rotor systems. Removes and replaces powertrain quills, transmissions adapting parts, rotary wing hub and tanks. In addition, disassembles friction dampers and hanger assemblies. Disassembles repairs, reassembles, adjusts, balances and aligns powertrain and rotor components, systems and subsystems to include main and tail rotor hub assemblies according to directives. Also, applies corrosion preventative procedures. Cleans, preserves, and stores powertrain and rotor components. Uses and performs operator maintenance on ground support equipment, common and special tools. Maintain facilities for storage of returnable and hazardous materials. Requisitions and maintains shop and bench stock for repair of aircraft powertrain and rotor systems & subsystems. Prepares request for turn-ins and repair parts for powertrain and rotor components. Prepares forms and records related to aircraft maintenance. Provides training to Saudi National Guard soldiers to include certification recommendations for progression from level 1 to level II. Develop training programs, schedule training and document training in an automated training management system. Provide training reports to the Division training officer as required. Ensures that all related maintenance operations are conducted in a safe manner.

Education level: High school diploma required.Experience: Five (5) years#8217; experience performing Powertrain maintenance required. Qualified by the appropriate USG armed forces aircraft powertrain maintenance course or civilian equivalent required. Ten (10) years#8217; experience performing Powertrain maintenance on AH-64 / UH-60 / MD 500 series / AH-6 aircraft powertrain systems desired.  US Military or civilian technical trainer experience required. Experience in overseas contracting environments desired. Specific knowledge, skill, and ability requirements: Technically Proficient in the use of computer-hosted interactive technical manuals, aircraft maintenance forms, and other aircraft related documentation. Ability to communicate both orally and written. Successfully pass an overseas deployment physical upon hire. Ability to effectively deal with people in the supervision of staff and team members. Ability to effectively communicate with the customer in a professional and courteous manner. Possesses a valid State driver#8217;s license.
