QA Floor Inspector / Helicopter
Responsibilitiesinclude but are not limited to:Maintain a thorough working knowledge of all inspection aids, inspection methods and techniques used in determining the airworthiness of the article being inspected.Maintain a thorough working knowledge of the reference and technical data contained in the Technical Library and be familiar with any revisions and changes made to documents contained therein. Be thoroughly familiar with the Repair Station/Quality Control Manual & FAA Regulations pertaining to Inspector#8217;s privileges & limitations. Perform inspections only on articles within the limitations of his/her inspection authority as delegated by the Chief Inspector under the Repair Station. Make appropriate entries on the Work Order and other Repair Station documents indicating approval of each inspection after the inspection completion and prior to the return of an article to service. Maintaining availability to all technicians regarding questions and technical assistance with respect to all inspections. Reporting to the Chief Inspector on the status of all current and upcoming inspections. Responsible for notifying the Chief Inspector regarding situations requiring the submittal of an MDR
Applicable competencies, aptitudes and qualifications:Airframe license required, Powerpoint license preferred NDT experiencepreferred. At least 8 years of experience in aviation, preferably in an MROenvironment in an inspector role. Ability to obtain and record precision defect measurements. Technical background on structural, avionics and maintenance repairs. Strong leadership, management and customer service skills. Strong organization and communication skills. Computer literate including use of MS Word and MSExcel.
