Quality Control / Technical Inspector

The Quality Control/Technical Inspector implements quality control and safety plans to ensure compliance with contract specification and applicable regulations.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSInspects all phases of a variety of goods, services or operations for conformity to established quality, health and safety, and other operational standards by performing on-going work for compliance with contractual provisionsEnsures all services listed on the performance requirement summary are performed in a satisfactory mannersPerforms scheduled and unscheduled inspectionsCommunicates deficiencies to proper personnel. Follows up when necessary to ensure that corrections are madeAccurately and thoroughly documents results of all inspectionsMaintains accurate quality control filesThe Quality Control/Technical Inspector may be required to perform other related duties to meet the ongoing needs of the organizationJob RequirementsKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:Beginner to intermediate computer skills specifically using Microsoft Office Suite; ability to learn additional computer skills or software programs. Working knowledge of advanced software applications is preferredAbility to enter data accurately into databases.Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Ability to write routine reports and correspondenceInterpersonal skills are necessary to work effectively and cooperatively with all levels of management and staff. Will also routinely interact with other crew membersMust possess effective oral and technical written communication skills to clearly communicate information to others.Ability to use general office equipment such as fax, phone, copier, scanner, printers, etc.Ability to follow a process.Strong professional customer service skills, including active listening, prompt service and follow-up.Strong decision analysis and problem solving skills; ability to draw conclusions and justify decisions. Must be able to communicate issues to management.Ability to learn and understand corporate policies and procedures and how they relate to goals.Ability to perform basic mathematical computationsHigh degree of self-motivation and the ability to work independentlyAbility to multi-taskQUALIFICATIONS:High School Diploma / EquivalentMinimum of 10 years Army Aviation maintenance experience.Completed a military aircraft repairer school for one of the following aircraft H-47D/F/G, H-60A/L/M, OH-58D, UH-1, AH-64A/D/E, T-6.
