Removes and installs aircraft subsystem assemblies and components such as engines, rotors, transmissions, mechanical flight controls and their components. Services and lubricates aircraft and subsystems. Safely prepares aircraft for inspections and maintenance checks and services. Performs scheduled inspections and assists in performing special inspections.

Leads daily production effort for RESET support for team assigned.  Assists ensuring Quality Assurance effort by team and all 4790 and other DOD maintenance and operations processes are complied with by team, and helps ensure compliance with contract specifications. Inspects and verifies proper completion and documentation of safety and flight discrepancies.

Helicopter Mechanic II -CH-53 (Flightline)-Miramar, CA-5 Helicopter Mechanic (CH-53):   Troubleshoots malfunctions in aircraft structure, landing gear, flight surfaces and controls, anti-icing, pneudraulic, engines, auxiliary power unit, and ventilation and heating systems to ensure aircraft remains in safe operating condition.
