Base Maintenance Technician

Classification: Hourly, Non-ExemptReports to: Field Services ManagerHours: 

  • Typically Monday-Friday day shifts, but must be available for OT as needed evenings/weekends
  • Must live within a one-hour drive of base to respond to non-scheduled service needs

Travel: Occasionally to our corporate facility in Woodland, CA Duties & Responsibilities: Maintains and repairs aircraft structures and related components including flight controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems and mechanical components. Applies technical knowledge of A&P systems to determine equipment malfunctions and applies expertise in restoring aircraft to safe, airworthy condition. Maintains records in compliance with FAA and company requirements. Maintains premises of the shop facility in a clean and organized manner. Maintains equipment, tools and facilities in serviceable and working condition. Meets all job/Work Order deadlines, communicating to supervisor/manager when circumstances may prevent on-time completion. Assures proper information is shared re job timelines, shop issues, parts delays, and change orders.

Credentials:p

  • Current, valid U.S. A&P license with at least 3 years of verifiable experience
  • FAA IA Certificate (or obtain IA within 6 months)
  • Valid CA driver#8217;s license

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years turbine helicopter experience in all phases of maintenance, 
  • Experience with Airbus AS350 experience. 
  • Must be able to competently use MS Office products including Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision
  • Must be able to work with clients in law enforcement

Physical:

  • Must be able to lift 70#
  • Must be able to work in environment that is not temperature/humidity controlled
  • Must be able to work on your feet hours at a time or in bent or contorted positions
