Pilot-Rotor Wing Superior Ambulance

This position serves as Pilot on an air ambulance aircraft. Responsibilities include the safety of passengers, patients and crew/medical crews. Ensures all flight and ground operations comply with FAA Regulations. Determines flight routes, speed, and take off and landing times to fulfill scheduling requirements. Makes decisions regarding possible delays, rerouting or flight cancellations. May be expected to perform other general department duties when not flying.This position is located in Kankakee, IL. The individuals selected for these positions must stay at the site where the aircraft is located and available for a flight within 10 minutes.The normal schedule is 7 days on and 7 days off. Days on are spent at the hangar in a ready standby position 12 hours on and 12 hours off with rotating day and night shifts. As a pilot for Pentastar Aviation, crew members can expect to fly about 100 hours per year with limited international travel.

  • Bachelor#8217;s degree preferred
  • Rotor Wing experience required
  • Ability to manage a changing work schedule
