AP Helicopter Mechanic
Paradise Helicopters is a FAR Part 91, 133, 137 & 135 Operator with locations in Kailua-Kona, Hilo, and Oahu. Currently, we have an open position for a FAA Certified A&P Mechanic at our Kailua-Kona, Hawaii location. Primary duties will include, but are not limited to, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on Bell 407 and Bell 430 helicopters and associated support equipment.Additional duties may include MDHI 500D/E scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, general facilities maintenance, vehicle maintenance, and other maintenance related tasks as delegated by the Lead Mechanic or Director of Maintenance. Work shifts are primarily afternoons and early evenings. This is a full-time / permanent position.
Candidates applying should possess the following requirements - - at least two (2) years experience as a licensed A&P Mechanic - Bell 407 and Bell 430 experience. MDHI 369 (500D/E) series turbine rotorcraft experience a plus. Experience on all models desired. We may accept other model and type experience if applicable. - Must be able to perform sheetmetal repairs, electrical troubleshooting and corrections, drivetrain and powerplant fault isolation, corrections, repairs, component replacements, rotor dynamic smoothing and balancing, scheduled and unscheduled inspections, corrosion control, aircraft cleaning and general upkeep. - no FAA certificate violation or enforcement actions - be currently work permitted in the U.S. or be a valid U.S citizen - must be able to pass an FAA/DOT mandated pre-hire and ongoing random drug test - must possess a full set of basic standard SAE mechanics hand tools No out of country or sponsored citizenship work programs offered.
